I know… I know. It’s April already. And I’m still talking about last Christmas. I’m catching up!!
After spending an early December vacation in Phoenix with my side of the family, we enjoyed a low-key Christmas Day in our jammies with Brian’s side (Papa, Nana, & Uncle Jason) at our house.
I think everyone can agree with me – Christmas is so much more fun with a little one in the house! (Even if he still doesn’t quite understand who Santa is.)
Don’t look too closely at the partially lit tree! We decided to retire our old tree and splurge on a fancy pre-lit one from Costco this year. It was beautiful… for about the first 5 minutes. Then a whole section of lights went out. We contacted customer service and they offered to ship out a replacement section. Great! Until more lights went out. Good thing there were 1000 bulbs on it to begin with! We decided that December was busy enough without taking down and putting up a tree twice, so when all the decorations came down, the tree went back to Costco. We’ll try again next year.
The number of gifts to be opened by the 6 of us (mostly for just 1 little boy) was out of control! (Not to mention all the gifts we opened in AZ just a couple of weeks prior.)
We felt both blessed and grateful for everyone’s generosity.
Can’t. keep. my. hands. off. these. ornaments.
Squeezing in some work with Papa.
Enjoying the new bike Santa brought!
”What do you mean Santa’s not coming back for a whole year?!?”
