Today was a GREAT day... Connor experienced his 1st bottle feeding this afternoon, and he did so well! (He's previously only been fed through an NG tube down his nose, and he hasn't had any breastmilk since Christmas Day.) He really seemed to enjoy all 5ccs of REAL FOOD (not much, but it's something).
One of our favorite nurses, Harriet, has him today and was so cute with how she was celebrating his accomplishment - everyone that walked through the NICU door heard about how his 1st bottle feeding went. She's already staking out a good window for him in the step-down nursery. It really makes all the difference for us the days he has great nurses - all of the staff there is good, but a few of them are absolutely wonderful).
His incision/wound is healing up nicely from his gut surgery, and the surgeon decided that today there would be no more dressings placed on it (which should help it heal even faster).
YAY for progress!!

Oh my gosh-- what a great week! We're praying for his window spot. Just wished we lived a little closer so we could peek through the glass!!
