Today Now!: How To Pretend You Give A S#@$ About The Election
I'm feeling a bit apathetic today... unless I vote blue, my vote doesn't really count in my state anyhow.
Honestly, I don't care that much for either candidate. I'm so tired of all the negative campaigning, the lack of answers, and the political rhetoric... it's sad that I really only watch the debates for the comedy factor (so that I can follow the jokes on SNL.) I don't know how you feel about it, but it's been a really long 2.5 years!
I'm also pretty sure that the State Board of Elections has misspelled our names and registered us in the wrong county. That's going to make November 4th a little tough for the

I cannot wait for the election to be over. I hate it almost as much as I hate ingrown toenails.
Vote anyhow!
Scottie... I'm gonna need more motivation than "Vote anyhow!" B/c they've screwed up our voter registration, I don't think I'll even be allowed to vote, even if I was dying to. I just realized it too late in the game.
guess what, aim, even if you vote blue your vote doesn't count much either. Just like me. In states that are overwhelming red or blue (CA, NY, UT, WA, HI, IL, etc), your vote doesn't do much either way. I have two sibs and Christian has one in Ohio and a sib in Colorado. Those are the votes that count.
I so agree. I want this election to be over. Even though I was more excited about the candidates than I have been in any other election, the whole thing is starting to bug me. I thought I'd watch the debates to get a better feel for who I liked, but NO ONE seems willing to just come out and say what they believe. They all want to spin it to make themselves look best to everyone. But you can't please everyone. You should just be yourself, answer questions honestly, and let people choose the best candidate. I got practically NOTHING from the debates and ended up turning them off. So sad.
What is “Grace Period” Registration?
“Grace Period” Registration is an extension of the period of time for a voter to register to vote, or to update their registration
information. This “Grace Period” Registration extends registration from the normal close of registration up through the 14th day before the election. Once registered, this voter may cast a
ballot during this “Grace Period” at the election authority’s office or at a location specifically designated for this purpose by the
election authority, or by mail, at the discretion of the election authority.
What forms of identification may be needed when I register to vote?
Two forms of identification with at least one showing your current residence address is needed when you register in-person. If you
register by mail sufficient proof of identity is required by submission of your driver's license
number or State identification card number. If you don't have either of those, verification by
the last 4 digits of the your social security number, a copy of a current and valid photo identification, or a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check, or other government document that shows your name and address will be required.
Illinois "Grade Period" runs from the 8th through the 21st.
DO IT!
