Once in a Blue Moon

During our recent vacation, we had the opportunity to visit our good friends, Steve & Mary, in Ann Arbor, MI.

Also over vacation, Brian had a very significant birthday on 08/08/08.
Not wanting the day to go unnoticed, Mary prepared a special birthday cake, just for Brian, and it looked something like this:It's too bad we didn't get a picture of it (my shoddy drawing does not do it justice), because it was really a sight to behold in all of its Blue Moon glory! Brian was in seventh heaven, natch, because Blue Moon is his favorite ice cream flavor of all time (I know, I don't understand it either!).

Thanks for being such gracious hosts, Steve & Mary... we had a wonderful time!
