Historic Blockbuster Store Offers Glimpse Of How Movies Were Rented In The Past

I can't even remember the last time I set foot in a rental store. I know it's been almost 3 years, at least. But, we LOVE movies here at Sprik Space, so...

This week's Must Have Monday is Netflix. Think about it - no more driving to/from the rental store (which around here aren't in the most convenient locations), no more rental deadlines, no more late fees. We're currently on the $14/month, 2-at-a-time, unlimited plan; which means there is no limit to how many movies we can see each month as we cycle through them 2-at-a-time. Granted some months, we don't quite get through our movies fast enough and
we sit on them longer than we'd like (so we're not exactly getting our money's worth) - but, we're paying for the convenience, and that's okay with me.

Netflix is great, because you can quit at any time... there is no long-term contract. You just set up a queue online and arrange the movies in the order you'd like them delivered. There are no added shipping fees either. We've determined our turn-around time to be about 4 days - we put the seen flick in the mailbox on Day 1, Netflix receives it on Day 2/3 and ships out the next movie on our queue, we receive a new flick on Day 3/4.
